proven to be an excellent sonata partner, with an engaging musical spirit and a
genuine curiosity and enthusiasm about the scores she performs with my clarinet
students. She has made particularly promising strides towards mature musical
expression as shown in logical, thoughtful phrasing and stylistic decisions and
insightful sensitivity to balance and voicing. Her professionalism and

Rudy Professor of Clarinet
Lana has been invaluable as an accompanist for our trombone
students. Through her pianistic abilities and musicality, as well as her
excellent work and organizational skills, she enjoys a well-earned reputation
as a first rate accompanist. It has always been a pleasure working with her in
studio lessons. She brings her own innate musical ideas to the task, and is
also open to and curious about further possible approaches to music. She has
mastered some of the most difficult pieces in the trombone recital repertoire.
Should the occasion arise, I would not hesitate to perform my own recital
repertoire with her, and highly recommend her to anyone seeking a collaborative
partner on piano.
