Performing Experience

Soloist (1998-present)

- Solo recitals of a wide range of classical repertoire (Listen here)

Experience includes scheduling recitals, designing programmes complete with programme notes, preparing lectures for lecture recitals.

- Wedding music

Experience includes meeting with the bride and groom to plan repertoire; shortening/lengthening pieces to adapt to unplanned events in wedding ceremonies; improvising arrangements of popular tunes; rehearsing with singers and instrumentalists.

- Event performances

Experience includes preparing a wide repertoire of selections for dinner parties and corporate events, including a dinner party for the faculty and donors of Patrick Henry College.

- Church music

Experience includes accompanying church choirs and congregational singing; performing solos for preludes, interludes, and postludes.

Experience includes extensive work on a wide variety of repertoire with vocalists, and string, woodwind, and brass players, including students of Janos Starker, Mark Kaplan, James Campbell, Marietta Simpson, and Sharon Robinson; working directly with clients; scheduling rehearsals; developing strong collaborative skills. Experience includes serving as chorale pianist for the Croydon Male Voice Choir, Sonitus Chamber Choir , Shalford Chorale Society , News International Choir , and various church choirs; sight-reading 8-part scores.

Experience includes developing an aural skills curriculum for ABRSM Grades 6-8; managing a classroom of 8-12 students; one-to-one aural skills lessons and practice exams.

Experience includes managing a classroom of 20-30 children; sight-reading four-part scores and accompaniments.

Experience includes introducing children to music; helping children develop strong basic skills to prepare for quick advancement through ABRSM exams.
