Upcoming Performances
Alistair McGowan, Charlotte Page and Lana Bode round off the Stratford Literary Festival with a celebration in words and music of the brilliant Noel Coward on 125th anniversary of his birth, with a delightful feast of his plays and writing, and the content of letters to him from some of the most famous actors of the last 100 years.
Lana Bode takes her place at the keys for a contemporary song masterclass led by Lucy Schaufer, a mezzo-soprano who was shortlisted in the Singer category of the 2023 Royal Philharmonic Society Awards.
Past Performances
Lana Bode joins acclaimed pianist Michael Pandya in a performance of Brahms Requiem in the composer’s piano-four hands arrangement with the King’s Lynn Festival Chorus under the direction of Ben Horden, with soloists Felix Kemp (baritone) and Bethany Horak-Hallett (mezzo-soprano).
Lana Bode joins soprano Anna Cavaliero for a fascinating mix of British and American music featuring some unjustly neglected songs by women composers alongside Britten and Barber.
Between a majestic sunrise and a blinding starburst, Her Ensemble opens CrossCurrents 2024 with a star-encrusted concert of music by women, performed by female and non-binary musicians. Errollyn Wallen’s Concerto Grosso places a spotlight on the extraordinary talent within the ensemble with dazzling step-out solos.
Lana Bode joins the Tailleferre Ensemble for a world record-breaking playathon hosted by Donne: Women in Music. Their programme includes music by Madeleine Dring and Adrienne Albert.
Thomas Elwin and Lana Bode join Donne: Women in Music for a world record-breaking playathon. Their programme of French songs from their upcoming album Le Vase Brise features works by Augusta Holmes, Pauline Viardot, Lili Boulanger and Clemence de Grandval.
Lucy Schaufer and Lana Bode return to St Andrews with a programme including world premieres by Stuart Macrae and Thomas Hyde, a European premiere by Herschel Garfein, and a Scottish premiere by Lisa Robertson.
The Tailleferre Ensemble will present a lunchtime concert celebrating their album release earlier this year. The programme will feature two works from the album, by Tailleferre and Röntgen, as well as music by Rhian Samuel, Dana Joras and Errollyn Wallen.
“Waiting for Gertrud or the Meeting of the 100 Child Prodigies” deals with the content and discourse of the song creations of 100 female composers from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. The negation of the artistic abilities of female composers has a long tradition and continues to have an impact today. Together with an actress, a pianist, four singers, a girls' choir and a brass ensemble, we examine the song's political, aesthetic and social explosiveness.

Kay hasn’t left her apartment for a year. She sees her shrink on Skype, does the cardio carioca workout virtually, and orders everything online. Yet she was once a dynamic immigration lawyer. What happened? Is it agoraphobia? Or something else? This all-sung, one-woman comedy reveals why Kay’s shut herself in… and what it’ll take to get her out. American composer Scott Eyerly, whose recent works have been performed by Jennifer Larmore and Leonard Slatkin, brings his newest piece to the Fringe, starring English soprano Sarah Minns and pianist Lana Bode.

We celebrate women composers with the Tailleferre Ensemble, an exciting young chamber collective dedicated to promoting women in music. This piano and woodwinds ensemble performs works by Ethel Smyth, Madeleine Dring, and more. This concert also marks the release of their debut album There are Things to be Said. Join us for this lovely Coffee Concert at St. Peter’s Church in Nottingham centre, a concert that will delight your senses and take you to new musical discoveries!
Join songstress Lauren Easton and pianist Lana Bode for an evening of live music, light cabaret, and lessons learnt on life, love and trying to look like you know what you're doing.
The Tailleferre Ensemble offers flexibility in programming and instrumentation, and their members are female musicians of very high calibre with impressive individual biographies. As a group, they have been praised for their fine performances and “extensive palette of timbres”. Following the release of their debut album ‘There Are Things To Be Said,’ the Tailleferre Ensemble returns to Plumstead Peculiars Concert Series for a programme of chamber music for flute, oboe and piano.
HerStories Unsung tells the stories of marginalised women through contemporary piano music, composed by Kevin Malone. Each piece explores an aspect of the marginalisation of women through an historical figure, as well as exploring seldom-used techniques of piano playing. This concert features HerStories Unsung Vol.1 (composed in 2016 for virtuoso piano) and the newly-composed HerStories Unsung Vol.2 (a suite of 20 piano pieces for Grades 2-7). Valentina Tereshkova, Rosalind Franklin, Bessie Coleman and Sister Corita Kent are a few of the women whose stories feature in this concert programme. Highlighting these and other remarkable yet under-recognised women who have shaped our modern world, this concert demonstrates the value of piano music as a medium for storytelling and activism.
Following the release of their debut album ‘There Are Things To Be Said,’ the Tailleferre Ensemble presents a programme of pieces for wind and piano by ‘Les Six’ as part of Conway Hall’s Sunday recital series.
